Berryl Gibson Nakamarra

Beryl GibsonBerryl Gibson wurde ca. 1944 in Granites geboren. Sie gehört zur Walpiri Sprachgruppe und ihre Dreamings sind Mulga Seed aus Miya-Miya und Janganpa (Possum). Sie und Ihre Schwester Barbara Gibson Nakamarra (verstorben) waren Zweitfrauen von Paddy Gibson Japaltjarri (verstorben), der auch ein hoch anerkannter Künstler war.

Berryl begann – wie Ihre Schwester Barbara – 1986 mit der Malerei während eines Kurses für traditionelle Malerei in Lajamanu und arbeitete fortan für das Warnayaka Kunstzentrum in Lajamanu.
