Aussagen der Künstlerin:

I have lived in Lockhart for 21 years with my partner. I have one daughter of my own, Deanne Macumboy. I'm a carer for six other kids, my partner is a community policeman, Sergeant. And to me, Lockhart is my home now, I love living here. My kids have good education here down at the school and myself, I work as security down at the canteen. I work with Community Development down at the council office by day.

I love going fishing, going to the bush, I like to make giddee giddee beads. Started painting this year. I done my first painting of my partner's traditional land, called 'Wuthathi Country'. My second one was handprint of my five kids, make me feel pround that they go to school everyday, good reports in school. I've got two of my grandsons in the district central cross country... and my third one is about the double stone at the front of the beach and two large giddee giddee beads at the sides of it and a bit of reef just to make it stand out. My fourth one was about my grandmother traditional land, about the stork, stole the ibis colour, the black and white of the ibis and now today the ibis is white and the stork is black and white. The fifth one was of a grass that we call 'juicy grass' over at Weipa, that we eat, when it burns, the leaf crumbles in your hand and it's really burnt and dry, and there's the antbit and an echidna poking his head out.
