Jimmy Jampijinpa Robertson

Jimmy Jampijinpa Robertson wurde ca. 1944 in Yinjirri geboren und ist im März 2002 verstorben.  Sein traditionelles Land war Waparlingka, es liegt nordöstlich von Mt. Doreen Station. Jimmy Jampijinpa Robertson gehörte zur Walpiri Sprachgruppe. Seine Dreamings waren: Pamapardu (Flying Ant), Two Dogs Dreaming,(Malikijarra), Watiyawarnu (bush seed),  Ngapa (rain) und Purrurparnta.  
Er lebte mit seinen zwei Frauen und neun Kindern in Lajamanu. Er begann 1986 mit einem Kern von Künstlern/innen in Lajamanu zu malen. Er ist bekannt als einer der herausragenden Künstler Lajamanu's. Er hat  seine Gemälde, Tänze und Lieder nach Sydney, Perth und Adelaide gebracht und seine Kultur auch über den Kontinent hinaus  in den USA und Paris und Großbritannien gezeigt und vermittelt. Er war nicht nur ein großer Künstler sondern auch ein  bemerkenswerter Mann, denn er hatte einen unglaublich facettenreichen Charakter. Eine Frohnatur, die trotzdem nichts auf die leichte Schulter nahm. Jimmy Robertson trat in der UNESCO oftmals in Erscheinung,  arbeitete und kämpfte für die Anerkennung der Walpiris, ihre Rechte, ihre Geschichte, dem Fortleben der Tradition und der Vermittlung seiner Kultur.
In Lajamanu war Jimmy Jampijinpa Robertson Leiter des Warnayaka Art Centre.
