Leroy Platt"Mein Name ist Leroy Platt, ich bin am 30. Oktober 1977 geboren und gehöre der Kuuku yau Sprachgruppe an. Ich bin Mitglied der Lockhart River Art Gang."



I love painting. I've been painting since 1996. I paint about the land, the land around the Lockhart community and land around Coen. My people come from Coen from the Lama Lama Clan, but I live in Lockhart River. Lama Lama is my mum's clan but I also go by my dad's clan Kuuku Ya'u, which is the country around Lockhart and Pasco River.

I love to hunt and fish and I love my country. We go out fishing in the dinghy, hunting for dugong and turtle. Sometimes hunt wild cows and pigs. I love going to Coen, to see family and to see Mum's country.

I listen to the old people stories...getting the stories off the old people, let me pass it on some of the young ones after the old people go..
